After half a dozen visits, including a two-week deep dive, we’ve found Bangkok to be a "sensory collision" in the best possible way. Beyond the legendary "Big Mango" culinary scene (worth the flight alone during peak season in May) and the warmth of the Thai people, the city offers a surprisingly manageable mix of deep tradition and hyper-modern luxury. It is loud, colorful, and easily one of the most exciting destinations in Asia.
